Conventional Laundry Soaps Vs Homemade Laundry Soap

Image
Did you know the Laundry Room is the most toxic place in the household? Did you know our skin is our largest organ? We wash our clothing and put it directly on our skin absorbing these toxins right into our bloodstream and smelling the toxins all day long, every day. Using those conventional laundry soaps from the store is not only toxic but also very costly.  Let's help these companies air out their dirty laundry. Following is a list of the most common harmful chemicals in laundry detergent products.  Sodium Lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Laureth Sulfate /Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLS/SLES) The main ingredient in and most common chemical in laundry detergents as well as dish soap, hand wash, and shampoo, SLS and SLES are surfactants intended to remove soil and as a foaming agent. They were originally developed as garage floor degreasers. Unfortunately, they also inflame skin, eyes, and lungs, and damage internal organs.  Phosphates  Phosphate exposure is linked to c...

Homeopathy 101

Image
Homeopathy 101 When I started to get to know my husband 24 years ago, I actually got hurt while we were on a missions trip to Portland Oregon. I'm not going into details about how I stupidly got hurt, let's just say I ended up punching myself in my nose. And it was to the point where everything felt dizzy for a moment. But nothing was broken and there was no blood, but my nose was sore for a while. He ran and got me this little blue bottle of small pills. "here take this Arnica, it's for bruising and swelling" I had no clue of Homeopathy then. For all I knew he could have been drugging me. But we were from the same church, on a missions trip for Pete's sake. And we were surrounded by church staff and all of our peers. So I took the small sugar pills and I don't remember complaining about my nose after that. I didn't use homeopathy to much after that until I was married. Homeopathy has since become a staple in my family's healthcare. Whenever anyo...

Benefits of Herbs (Mint, Parsley, Garlic)

Image
I have been doing tons of research into herbs and I think I stumbled onto something I really enjoy. Making a garden or even growing them indoors is something I can find myself doing. Since I have been doing this research I'm finding tons of benefits of consuming and using herbs.  Today I am going to focus on three, Mint, Parsley, and Garlic. All three of these are easy to find in grocery stores and are easy to incorporate into everyday foods.  Mint Mint is widely used in gums and candy, but using fresh mint is where the bang for healing is. Mint is very easy to grow (or so I've heard) and is considered a low-maintenance plant. There are 25 different types of mint in the world, ranging from spearmint to peppermint. Mint is rich in anti-oxidants, can freshen breath, relieve sinus congestion, alleviate indigestion and gastrointestinal concerns. Mint can also improve breathing, treat gallstones, and combat viruses. Mint makes a delicious tea on its own.  🌱Cold Killer- ...

Glyphosate, What is glyphosate, and why you should care!

Image
If you have been living under a rock and never heard of Glyphosate, it's a herbicide that's been on the market and used since 1974. Farmers use it to kill weeds in their crops. It was discovered to be an herbicide by Monsanto chemist John E. Franz in 1970. It is in the product called Roundup. Glyphosate was first synthesized in 1950 by Swiss chemist Henry Martin, who worked for the Swiss company Cilag. The work was never published. Stauffer Chemical patented the agent as a chemical chelator in 1964 as it binds and removes minerals such as calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, and zinc. (which is why we are all mineral-deficient) Source Glyphosate is known to cause many health issues, including cancer, liver and kidney issues. It was told that Glyphosate is safe when used properly, but we all know they like to hide information from people. There have been many court cases proving that glyphosate has caused damages to people's bodies and Monsanto has lost several of these ca...

Fasting

Image
My first post on changing my life is about fasting for a reason. It's the best thing to do when you're thinking of healing the body and making a change. It also changes your mindset on what food is.  Fasting The very word can be scary to some people. I have done several in the last few years, but I learned some people are very fearful of fasting. They think it can be very dangerous. Fasting is only dangerous if you don't listen to your body and know the warning signs of when to stop a fast. Now, this doesn't mean jumping into a 3 day fast right from the get-go. My advice is to slowly work your way into a fast. This prep time is weeks before you get into your first day of no meals.  First, let's get into the potential benefits of fasting.  It can help you lose weight helps minor and major health disorders cleans your body of metabolic toxins and waste generates new cell growth increase mental clarity enhances your mood gives more energy improves your skin tone and h...

Lets be Honest!

Hi, My name is Nickola (  NI-koh-luh). I have been going through a health crisis in recent months and have been taking this a sign I need to get myself on track and change my life and diet ( not diet as you may think, it's a way of life change, not some fad diet I plan for a few month)   I was taking a Fulvic/ Humic product from Black Oxygen Organics. I took this product in May and I felt pretty good about it. And was having good results in my health. In August I increased the amount I was taking because I was told we could increase it to 3 times a day for a small period to help us detox. I did this for 2 weeks and was incorporating 3-day water fasting and eating a low-carb diet. I did this because I have fought Candida overgrowth through my life. My gut is a mess from vaccines and antibiotics round all through my childhood. And taking some antibiotics recently for absent tooth and dental work. I will be truthful, after the fast and about 3 weeks of being low carb,...
